FIELD: rolled stock production, step rolling mills for deforming strips at large reduction values. SUBSTANCE: mill includes rolling stand with variable-radius rolling rolls. Drive system of rolling stand includes electric motor, reduction gear, pinion stand joined with roll 2 through spindle 7 and with roll 3 - through spindle 8. Mechanism for reciprocation motion of rolling stand is in the form of toothed racks fixed to frame of rolling mill and arranged along rolling axis; two toothed sectors joined with toothed racks. In variant 1 of invention with vertical arrangement of rolling rolls toothed sector 11 of working stroke is mounted onto end portion of roll 2 and toothed sector 12 of idle stroke is mounted onto end portion of roll 3. Toothed sectors are joined with toothed racks stationary mounted in frame of mill along rolling axis under roll axes. According to variant 2 of invention toothed sector 12 of idle stroke is mounted onto end portion of roll and toothed sector 11 of working stroke is mounted onto end portion of roll 3. Toothed sectors are joined with toothed racks stationary mounted in frame of mill along rolling axis over axes of rolls. EFFECT: increased reduction values at rolling process. 3 cl, 2 dwg
