FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, particularly, methods of manufacture of articles by deformation method with subsequent heat treatment. SUBSTANCE: method includes heating of oxide iron-containing material up to temperature of 800-1000 C, its oxidation to hematite and sintering at 1100-1200 C, reduction of sinter with reducing gas heated up to 1000-1100 C up to metal state, sinter reduction and its rolling in hot state into blank and forming from blank of articles of required configuration and sizes with subsequent heat treatment. Sinter after reduction to metal state is treated for 0.5-5 min with natural gas heated up to 900-950 C in mixture with unsaturated hydrocarbons taken in ratio of 2:1, respectively, up to carbon content in sinter of 0.05-5%; and article is formed just after sinter rolling into blank. Oxide iron-containing material is used in the form of magnetite concentrate with the following ratio of components, mas.%: Fetot, 65-72.5; SiO2, 0.05-2.90; Al2O3, 0.01-0.90; CaO+MgO, 0.05-1.50; MnO, 0.05-0.30; TiO2, 0.01-0.10; Na2O, 0.01-0.45; or mill scale. Unsaturated hydrocarbon is used in the form of acetylene. Realization of invention provides for manufacture of article possessing simultaneously required strength, hardness and ductility.
