FIELD: mining industry, particularly, mining of thick ore deposits. SUBSTANCE: method includes driving of haulage, ventilation and drill workings, drawing holes in block bottom, drilling of blast holes and breakage of ore by fan holes in clamp under caved rocks. Block is divided into two parts. Breakage of ore overlaying part is carried out by leading along the strike of ore deposit, and then, breakage of ore of block underlying part is effected by sections along the strike of ore deposit. Volume of breakage in sections is selected depending on conditions of seismic safety of haulage workings. In this case, drawing holes in block bottom are driven directly before blasting of next section and they are filled with broken rock mass before section blasting.
