FIELD: solar-energy engineering; manufacture of solar-energy concentrators for direct conversion of solar energy into electrical energy. SUBSTANCE: solar-energy concentrator is made in form of Fresnel lens consisting of set of optical prisms of rectangular cross section at refraction angles; it has focal plane and optical axis which is just axis of symmetry of lens; refraction angle of each prism is found from the following formula: where n(λ0) is refractive index of optical material of Fresnel lens at wave length of λ0; f is distance of focal plane from lens; Ri is distance of i-prism of optical axis of lens; r0 is preset distance of point on focal plane which is interface of solar spectrum; 0<r0<Rm, where Rm is maximum size of lens.
