FIELD: medicine; gastroenterology. SUBSTANCE: electrode designed for intracavitary contact impact upon gastroduodenal ulcers by electrophoresis of drugs under visual endoscopic monitoring is inserted in retrograde manner into instrument channel of fibrogastroduodenoscope until proximal part of channel appears. Electrode is tightly pulled up and adapted to instrument channel so as not to interfere with viewing. Connector and syringe filled with drugs are connected to flexible tube. Output of current conductor is connected to one of outputs of electrophoresis apparatus. Metal plate that functions as passive electrode is applied to epigastric region. Passive electrode output is connected to opposite-polarity output of apparatus. Flexible part of fibrogastroduodenoscope with active electrode adapted to the latter is inserted into patient's hollow organ, Contact member of active electrode is brought directly to focus of disease in the course of endoscopic monitoring.
