EXERCISER FOR SWIMMERS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: sportive equipment. SUBSTANCE: exerciser has swimming pool filled with water and equipped with closed through working and auxiliary channels, hydraulic pump positioned in auxiliary channel, and sensor for controlling water flow speed by changing rotational speed of hydraulic pump engine. Auxiliary channel is defined by swimming pool bottom and working channel bottom and is provided with through windows-grids. Auxiliary channel has n screws positioned near its rear wall and equipped with engine located outside swimming pool. Vertical guiding blades are positioned between screws and front wall of auxiliary channel. Rear and front walls of working channel are equipped with horizontal guiding blades. Exerciser provides for conditions approaching to maximal extent to natural exercising conditions by allowing water flow speed in swimming pool to be automatically regulated, but without necessity of attaching swimmer by means of retaining flexible carrier. Waves are effectively suppressed by using vertical and horizontal guiding blade system and due to difference in working and auxiliary channel sections. Low water volume in swimming pool (2x5 m) provides for simplified maintenance of exerciser. Also, dosed amounts of sea salt and other additives may be added to water.
