FIELD: designs of regular packings designed for conduction of heat-mass transfer processes in gas (vapor)-liquid systems; applicable in chemical, oil and gas producing industries and other allied industries. SUBSTANCE: regular packing consists of packs of corrugated or flat plates with projections directed approximately parallel to apparatus vertical axis and installed in layers turned relative to one another. Packs are located in each layer so that in joint plane of adjacent packs channel-like cavities of one pack are closed by plates of another pack. Packs are made of rectangular plates similar in size with length multiple to apparatus radius. Adjacent layers are turned relative to one another round apparatus axis so that planes of joints of packs between layers are displaced. In this case, angle of turn ensures overlapping of nonfilled area of cross-section in adjacent layers. Adjacent layers of packing are located in mirror image relative to each other with turning counterclockwise. Space between regular packing and body is filled with packing packs with less number of plates of the same size. Packs are composed of several packs with planes with similar orientation. Pack width b , where dh is latch diameter, hp is length of packing.
