FIELD: designs of preformed packings designed for heat and mass exchange processes in gas(vapor)-liquid system; applicable in gas, oil, chemical and other allied industries. SUBSTANCE: packing consists of layers unfolded relative to one another and made of several packs assembled of parallel inclined sheets with protrusions. Packs in each layer are installed so that total angle of sheets turning in layer relative to the first sheet of any pack amounts up to 360 deg and sheets in each pack are inclined to adjacent pack. Angle of sheet inclination to horizontal plane is selected so that projection of sheet side face to horizontal plane equals to or exceeds distance between sheets. EFFECT: higher efficiency of heat and mass exchange in processes of separation of multicomponent mixtures due to increased time of contact of gas and liquid, uniform distribution of flows over packing volume, excluded fall-through of liquid. 2 cl, 5 dwg
