METHOD OF DETERMINING WELLS TECHNICAL CONDITIONS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: well logging; applicable in determination of wells technical conditions and ways of compounds spreading by method of radioactive well logging with use of traced technique. SUBSTANCE: method includes plotting of background curve of natural radioactive radiation intensity before introduction into composition of contrast additives which are injected beyond casing string; waiting for formation of screen impermeable for fluid and gas; preparation of well for logging; plotting of repeated curve of distribution of radioactive radiation. Technical conditions of wells and ways of spreading of plugging and repair compositions are determined by comparison of repeated curve of distribution of radioactive radiation and background curve of intensity of natural radioactive radiation. Contrast additive is activated by neutron flux directly in annular space with the help of instruments of pulse radioactive logging. Plotting of repeated course of distribution of radioactive radiation is carried out after completion of creation of impermeable screen and time delay sufficient for drop of gamma-ray activity of manganese and chlorine isotopes.
