FIELD: materials transportation. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, grips 22 opened before receiving of transport members 20 for accumulation on buffer section 14 of feed section 10 in process of transport member accumulation are closed, at least partially. So distance between transport members 20 following one after the other on buffer section 14 is defined mainly by degree of opening of grips 22 or dimensions of transport members. Grips 22 are not designed for holding the members at buffer section 14 or before said section. For this purpose special device for closing grips 22 is installed at inlet 16 of buffer section which can be made in form of link for closing 18 which is installed for movement along feed section 10.
