SUBSTANCE: method involves extraction of polyhydroxyalkanoate from biomass with at least one solvent of polyhydroxyalkanoate, for example, acetone, acetonitrile, benzene, butyl acetate, butyl propionate, β-butyrolactone, γ-butyrolactone, diethylcarbonate, diethylformamide, dimethylcarbonate, dimethylsuccinate, dimethylsulfoxide, dimethylformamide, ethyl acetate, ethylene glycol diacetate, methyl acetate, methylethylketone, 1,4-dioxane, tetrahydro-furan, toluene, xylene and their mixture. Biomass presents vegetable material containing oil or biomass of bacteria. Precipitation of poly-hydroxyalkanoate from extract is carried out using precipitating agent. Invention presents also polyhydroxyalkanoate prepared, its melting point is about 80 C and above.
