FIELD: pressure vessels. SUBSTANCE: proposed shell consists of main tubular member made of one or two layers of sealing material strong in two directions and reliably connected at end faces with members mating with shell, and outer strengthening layer made in form of winding from breakproof thread-like material. Main tubular member is provided from inner side with one or several longitudinal folds over entire length of shell curved to foam a tube opened over generatrix pointed to outer side of shell. Strengthening layer is applied with interference providing pressing of fold edges to each other and tangentially directing compression stresses in main tubular member not exceeding material proportionality limit, with no adhesive ties between adjoining surfaces of strengthening layer and main tubular member.
