FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: single-phase insulation transformer is meant to be used in electric networks with series supply of users, namely, in airfield light signal systems. Transformer includes three-leg core. Its central leg carries secondary winding. Primary winding comes in the form of two sections put on peripheral legs and so interconnected that magnetic fluxes on one direction are formed in central leg. Technical result of invention consists in reduced electromagnetic induction under idle run mode and under load with simultaneous keeping of required power in secondary winding thanks to increased magnetic flux in central leg of core. Decreased magnetic saturation and hysteresis losses in core are outcome of reduced electromagnetic induction. EFFECT: decreased magnetic saturation and hysteresis losses. 4 cl, 2 dwg
