FIELD: radio engineering; high-reliability radio stations and multichannel communication systems. SUBSTANCE: proposed redundant amplifier is provided with newly introduced multichannel power unit 7 and new connections which has made it possible to dispense with physical switches in power circuits of limited- reliability amplifier components 2 thereby protecting power supply against surge currents that might occur during short circuits in amplifier components 2, and to reduce number of parts in diagnostic system. In this way power supply components are reliably checked for condition to keep them serviceable in case of occurrence of short circuits and to enhance reliability of redundant amplifier.
