FIELD: railway transport; brake systems. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, in process of discharge of compressed air into atmosphere, lost brake force is determined by means of pressure rise microprocessor control unit, and when vehicle passes at poor adhesion along track section, compressed air of higher pressure is supplied additionally into operating brake cylinders from higher pressure source through electric pneumoreducer controlled by pressure rise microprocessor control unit. Higher pressure value Phb under normal braking conditions is set higher than brake pressure Pb by value sufficient for compensation of lost brake force and reduction of braking distance under poor adhesion conditions to length of braking distance under normal braking conditions on dry rails, and in case of emergency, compressed air pressure value Peb is set maximum possible on the basis of pressure value in higher pressure source and condition of electropneumatic or pneumatic brake system of vehicle wheelsets. In case of emergency switching off of pressure rise microprocessor control unit or supply voltage of electric control circuits, system is returned automatically to braking by pressure Pb at normal conditions of braking or Pe at emergency conditions of braking. EFFECT: improved safety of vehicle owing to reduction of braking distance in process of braking. 1 dwg
