CHIMNEY Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: civil engineering, design of exhaust, smoke outlet shafts of chimneys used in ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy and chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: given chimney includes supporting shaft and telescopic gas outlet shaft assembled from individual sections and suspended from inside of supporting shaft with circular air clearance. Each section of gas outlet shaft has two independent shapeforming face frames, upper and lower, made of glass reinforced plastic, spaced by distance equal to height of section and tightened together with flexible longitudinal panels of high-strength glass cloth which form multilayer soft glass fiber shell-skirt conjugate to shape-forming surfaces of upper and lower frames which determine shape and cross-section area of section of gas outlet shaft. Upper frame of section has external outline similar to internal outline of lower frame and circular clearance between them exceeds thickness of multilayer glass fiber shell-skirt. Upper frame of each intermediate section of gas outlet shaft is congruent in shape and dimension to lower frame of adjacent section of shaft placed above. In this case longitudinal panels of high-strength glass cloth of shaft are in tightened state under action of coaxial tension applied to shape-forming face frames. EFFECT: reduced labor input and manufacturing cost of each section, raised strength, reliability and service life of gas outlet shaft, provided noiseless operation of structure. 9 cl, 5 dwg
