FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has drum with horizontal axis of rotation made in the form of rotating shaft (or pin) with disk-shaped rigidity ribs attached thereto. Ribs having working surface (entire or part thereof) made arced are fixed to rigidity ribs, with convex portions of arced surfaces being faced to soil surface to be cultivated. Tooth-shaped separating members are fixed at sites in the vicinity of rib working surface in direction of rotation of drum. Teeth are attached to ends of working surfaces of ribs 4 in direction of rotation of drum, which, in its turn, is coupled to frame through tie-rods. Frame is connected to power supply unit. Apparatus may be used for surface tillage at presowing and pre-emergence periods of growing farm crops, including potato. EFFECT: improved quality of soil and improved maintainability of apparatus. cl, 2 dwg
