FIELD: radiochemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to materials absorbing radio emission and designated for application as protective device as screen, mantle or cover masking technique from detection by devices using radio emission, for protection of staff radio emission effect and as radioabsorbing label of securities to protect their from imitation. Radio emission material comprises an alkyd binding agent and niobium carbide ultradispersed powder with particles size 10-100 nm. Preparing radioabsorbing material involves the successive charge of binding agent and filling agent in mixer and their stirring being before addition to binding agent an ultradispersed powder is treated with surface-active substance, hydrophobizing liquids in organic solvent using ultrasonic oscillation with duration 30 min, not less. The combination of components taken in the definite ratio allows to obtain thin absorbing layers with thickness up to 1 mm, to enhance radioabsorption and range of radio emission waves without significant alternation of material thickness.
