SYSTEM FOR DISCHARGE AND CLEANING OF SURFACE RUN- OFF Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: highway engineering; removal of surface run-off from roads. SUBSTANCE: system includes water drainage conduit, settling chamber divided into coarse and fine cleaning sections, biological pond consisting of shallow water bioplateau and deep-water basin, filtering chamber located after deep-water basin and separated from it by filtering dam and discharge conduit. Proposed system is provided with additional filtering dam located before shallow-water bioplateau. Dam and walls of deep-water basin include filtering materials laid in layers; contour of wall of deep-water basin has form of triangle in horizontal plane whose vertex is directed to shallow-water bioplateau; contours of main and additional filtering dams are concave in horizontal projection relative to direction of flow of surface run-off; contour of surface of dam of settling chamber are convex in horizontal projection relative to direction of flow of surface run-off.
