FIELD: instrumentation engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for converting rotary motion into translational motion and vice versa. Said screw mechanism contains screw with toothed cuts on faces of thread and nut, and cage with fitted in balls. Mechanism is provided also with gear wheels engaging with toothed cuts on faces of screw thread and with nut. Cage is formed by wire passed through balls provided with axial holes and gear wheels alternating with balls. Gear wheels engage with nut through toothed cuts made on of thread. EFFECT: increased gear ratio of screw mechanisms and compensated friction losses. 2 dwg
