FIELD: abdominal surgery. SUBSTANCE: one performs fibrogastroduodenoscopic examination, diagnoses duodenal ulcer, evaluates its dimensions, and, if diameter of duodenal ulcer is 1.0 cm or larger accompanied with platelet number reduced to 120•10⁹/l or lower and reduced platelet aggregation, conclusion of unreliability of homeostasis and ulcer bleeding risk is drawn. EFFECT: increased accuracy of estimation of course of clinical disease and prediction of recurring gastrointestinal bleeding enabling before-the-fact choice of patient treatment tactic.
