FIELD: medicine, particularly, surgery. SUBSTANCE: method includes determination of the following diagnostic criteria: localization and sizes of ulcer; characteristics of ulcer bottom; loss of blood by A.I.Corbashko's method; parameters of systolic arterial blood pressure; presence of ulcer anamnesis and gastrointestinal hemorrhages history; patient sex and age, and Rh blood factor. If total number is all or above (calculated by Bayes' known formula), recurrence of haemorrhage is prognosticated. EFFECT: higher accuracy of prognostication.
