FIELD: commercial fishery. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fishing of whitefish. Proposed seine consists of symmetrical wings with drives, catching device in form of floating chamber and tilted grid at its inlet made in form of lifting way with guide members provided with guys. Floating chamber is made in form of rectangular net with otter boards of upper rope of front and rear end face walls. Lifting way with guide members is made of deal. Lower and upper ropes of floating chamber, lifting way and flap are furnished with distributed weights and floats, respectively. Height of float chamber of catching device is smaller than depth of fishing place. Length of lifting way is such that with upper rope of catching device rising of water surface when pulling the seine, angle of lifting way tilting relative to horizontal does not exceed 13-17^°. EFFECT: prevention of failures of catching device and unfavorable action of bottom deposits on caught dish. 2 cl, 1 dwg
