FIELD: jet thermoabrasive treatment of surfaces of articles made of metals or other materials, possibly breaking mining rock, application of heat resistant coatings. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of acting upon treated surface by means of high-temperature high-speed two-phase jet consisting of gaseous products of fuel combustion and abrasive particles; feeding abrasive particle into receiving chamber behind burner nozzle and speeding up said particles by means of high-temperature supersound flow of combustion products; using receiving chamber in the form of ejector; coaxially placing gasodynamic accelerator at outlet of ejector for speeding up abrasive particles; using accelerator in the form of cylindrical branch pipe; selecting geometry parameters of said branch pipe according to conditions preventing occurrence of shocks braking gas flow until speed less than sound speed and providing heating of abrasive particles until their conversion to amorphous state. EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability, increased useful life period of combustion chamber of burner, increased kinetic energy of abrasive particles at outlet of apparatus, improved action of two-phase jet upon cleaned surface. 5 cl, 3 dwg
