FIELD: mechanical engineering; shock and vibration shielding of devices for all industries. SUBSTANCE: vibration isolator has two split yokes, each incorporating bolt with developed head, shaped washer, and nut with locking spring washer; it also has cable member that elastically joins yokes together. Sealed chamber is provided in one of yokes between bolt head and shaped washer which communicates through channel with adjustable-pressure medium source. Radial holes are made perpendicular to vibration isolator axis on cylindrical surfaces of developed bolt heads and shaped washers in their contact plane. Cable member is built of continuous cable with hollow flexible central core, both ends being terminated in split yoke sealed chamber communicating with central core space. Cable sections emerging from yoke holes are wrapped in flexible wire or tape with negative allowance. Vibration isolator incorporates provision for controlling its stiffness and damping characteristics. EFFECT: enlarged frequency range of vibration isolator. 2 cl, 6 dwg
