FIELD: water freezing in vessels. SUBSTANCE: device has heat- transfer elements disposed in tiered manner and made in the form of open horizontal vessels. One side of each vessel is disposed at lower elevation than three remaining ones. Heat-transfer elements are shifted in tiered manner relative to each other in horizontal plane. Bottom of each vessel has inserts provided with shanks and hole; bottom parts of insert shanks of vessel disposed at higher elevation are driven into inserts of vessel disposed below and is arranged at acute angle to direction of heat-transfer flows. Hole is made in upper cylindrical part of inserts. EFFECT: reduced time taken for freezing water in vessels. 2 cl, 3 dwg
