FIELD: sportive equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has wheel-mounted frame, carriage, columns fixed on carriage, and hand stops attached to columns. Carriage is movable along guides, under which foot supports are positioned. Seat back has lumbar and spine stops. Seat and seat back are immovably fixed with respect to frame. Foot support carriage is connected to upper run of closed belt. Hand stop carriage is connected to lower run of this belt, which is positioned for reciprocation. Closed belt is cooperating with sheave rigidly attached on drive shaft for reciprocation. Seat back may be folded in forward direction for convenient transportation. Foot stops and seat may be adjusted with respect to one another through height. Carriage with foot stops is movable for advancement along guides to the site behind steering wheel fork pin. Hand stops are mounted on columns by means of steering shafts. Toothed sheaves are positioned on ends of steering shafts for engagement with toothed belts, which are meshed with toothed sheaves fixed on sleeve provided with internal grooves. Sleeve slides in conjunction with carriage along grooved shaft, on which conical gear is secured. Conical gear is engageable with toothed section attached to steering wheel fork. Apparatus allows exercising process to approximate real rowing conditions and loading to be uniformly distributed among all groups of muscles in single cyclically repeating motion.
