METHOD FOR TREATING THE CASES OF BRONCHIAL ASTHMA AND OBSTRUCTIVE BRONCHITIS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out intratissular electric stimulation of sympathetic compartment of the nervous system innervating lungs and bronchi by means of needle electrode. Pulsating current is used which intensity is equal to 5-20 mA, frequency is equal to 15 Hz, pulse duration is equal to 0.5 ms from cathode and exposure time is equal to 20 min. Pulsating current is applied in the upper part of the sternum which frequency is equal to 50-70 Hz, pulse duration is equal to 0.5 ms from anode, current intensity is selected in individual way and gradually increased until painless vibration is felt. Procedure duration is 20 min. The treatment is applied every third day. The total treatment course is 3 to 10 procedures long. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment. 2 dwg
