FIELD: polymer materials. SUBSTANCE: stabilized polymer composition applicable as thermoplastic structural material is constituted by 99.0-99.95% polybutylene terephthalate and 0.05-1.0% thermal-oxidative destruction inhibitor. The latter is a fine mixture of iron and faultedstructure ferrous oxide (50:50 wt/wt) having particle size 0.1-0.3 mcm. This mixture is prepared by decomposing ferrous oxalate at 200 C for 2 h. EFFECT: increased resistance to thermal-oxidative destruction during thermal-oxidative ageing thereby enabling all complex of physicochemical characteristics of composition to be preserved when performing out-of-melt processing. 4 tbl, 7 ex
