FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: knitted fabric comprises loops of warp knitted weave, which are knitted from polyester textured filaments with linear density of about 18.2 tex and 9.2 tex used in the ratio of 70-71% and 30-29%, respectively, and knitting density of 13-13,5 loops per 1 cm. Fabric may be made with piles. Such fabric may be used for manufacture of knitted fabric from chemical filaments, with further employment of such fabric for various purposes, in particular, for manufacture of padding materials for cars etc. EFFECT: provision for producing knitted fabric having elasticity optimal for usage as padding material for covering compound surfaces. 2 cl, 2 tbl
