FIELD: production of knitted fabric. SUBSTANCE: method involves using multiple-system knitting machine having needle selecting mechanism, for example drums and disks; providing alternate knitting by first yarn of cylinder loop and disk loops of first system thread in staggered arrangement; forming loops on free needles of first system cylinder by means of second system; knitting loops on operating needles of first system disk by means of third system; repeating entire process with one needle pitch offset by means of fourth system. Polyester, cotton, viscose yarns are commonly used as basic material. Method allows light, thin elastic materials possessing improved physicomechanical properties to be manufactured and warp for artificial materials to be produced from such materials. Artificial materials may be used for producing technical and domestic articles, including artificial leather. EFFECT: simplified method and wider range of knitted products. 2 cl, 1 dwg
