FIELD: lighting engineering. SUBSTANCE: device that may be used to display static and dynamic laser pictures produced from computer graphics pixels has coherent radiation source; collimator, power modulation unit, scanning unit, projection facility, and screen all mounted in tandem along beam path; control unit incorporating computer. Coherent radiation source is made in the form of polarized monochromatic radiation source generating in ultraviolet region of spectrum and coupled with control unit. Screen is essentially combination of regular pixels each incorporating three separate red, green, and blue fluorescent items, respectively, each item being illuminated with monochromatic ultraviolet beam from coherent radiation source; size of each pixel item equals sectional area of beam coming from coherent radiation source at screen location point. Size of each separate pixel does not exceed linear eye-resolved value; projection facility is mounted either past the screen with projecting facility axis perpendicular to screen plane or on viewer side so that projecting facility axis is inclined to screen plane through certain angle to keep screen glare away from viewer's eyes. Fiber-optic cable provided with respective collimator designed to introduce beam into this cable may be installed in addition between coherent radiation source and collimator.
