FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves presowing treatment of clover seeds with 10-15% hydrogen chloride solution of HCl formulation, with sulfate-type bischofite brine of MgCI₂•6H₂O, formulation being used as growth promoter; treating clover seeds with said growth promoter for 1-2 min at temperature of 60-90 C under pressure of 0.01-0.03 MPa. Method allows stable feed stock to be provided on the basis of high-protein legume crops in distinctly continental climate regions. EFFECT: improved sowing qualities of red clover seeds, completeness of germination and provision for obtaining protein-rich green mass. 20 tbl
