SUBSTANCE: absorbing structure comprises layer of absorbing material made from adhesive-free cellulose filaments and layer of pneumatically laid material of adhesion-bound cellulose filaments. Layers are connected together by adhesive substance of pneumatically laid material serving as binding material and by absorbing material layer filaments extending into pneumatically laid material. Method involves forming material into mat on pneumatically laid material; pressing produced layer together at temperature exceeding 100 C, which results in softening of pneumatically laid adhesive substance and connecting two layers, with some filaments of absorbing material penetrating into pneumatically laid material to provide for additional adhesion. Absorbing structure may be used as it is, with only moisture-impermeable lower layer being added if required. EFFECT: simplified method, reduced weight of formed dry absorbing material and improved absorbing characteristics of said structure. 18 cl, 6 dwg
