FIELD: microbiology. SUBSTANCE: strain of bacterium Yersinia pestis C-694-C-620 (3-KB) is obtained by selection of phage-resistant variant of plague microorganism on solid nutrient medium in the presence of bacteriophage L-413 "C" on lawn plate of culture sown. The revealed heterogeneity of plague pathogen in Central-Caucasus natural focus by some properties, stability of phage-resistance properties indicate on capacity of the strain to be used as test-culture for detection of phage- resistant strains. Invention can be used in investigation of freshly isolated strains of plague pathogen in Central-Caucasus natural focus. EFFECT: valuable properties of strain.
