FIELD: metallurgy of mixed-alloy steels; nuclear power; manufacture of internal equipment for nuclear reactors. SUBSTANCE: steel possesses high long-term strength and corrosion resistance at 550 C during operation in nuclear power plants with lead-based heavy liquid metal carrier. Proposed steel contains the following components, mass-%: carbon, 0.06-0.10; silicon, 1.1-1.4; manganese, 0.3-0.6; chromium, 8.0-9.5; nickel, 0.8-1.4; molybdenum, 0.9-1.3; vanadium, 0.10-0.25, the remainder being iron. Ratio of total content of chromium and 8-fold amount of silicon to total content of nickel and 20-fold amount of carbon shall be more than or equal to 5.2 (Cr + 8Si/Ni + 20 C ≥5.2). Total content of vanadium and double amount of molybdenum shall be equal to or more than 2.0 (V + 2M0≥2.0). EFFECT: enhanced long-term strength of steel and corrosion resistance. 2 tbl, 1 ex
