FIELD: industrial and aesthetic forestry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has supersonic instrument with sensors and is provided with measuring fork made in the form of movable and immovable legs positioned on ruler. Legs are equipped with axial grooves. Sensors are located in grooves for movement in lengthwise direction. Such construction allows supersonic testing mode to be used with regard to standing tree trunk and its butt part and presence of rot in section under investigation to be determined on the basis of supersonic vibration value. EFFECT: increased efficiency and simplified method. 1 dwg, 2 tbl, 1 ex
