FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves recording electric signal issued by a gastrointestinal organ using electrodes applied to patient body surface and estimating the signal. The electric signals are measured every minute with a device in two time intervals of 40- 50 min duration each of them. The measurements are taken on the empty stomach at the first stage 5-6 min after applying electrodes. The second stage measurements are taken after standard food stimulus being applied. The electrodes are set on the right forearm, left and right crus. General electric potential and individual potential values of five gastrointestinal tract segments are recorded. Contribution of every individual segment into the general electric signal, their rhythm and difference from neighboring segment signal are interpreted in terms of gastric and duodenal peptic ulcer, stomach exit stenosis and duodenal dyskinesia availability. EFFECT: high accuracy of diagnosis. 4 cl, 5 dwg
