FIELD: aviation; devices for protection of flying vehicle engines against penetration of foreign matter. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has movable lower panel mounted in air intake body. Said panel performs translational motion in horizontal direction. It is made from U-shaped primary structure with two panels articulated in external longitudinal tubes. Said panels perform simultaneous oscillatory motion from level of edge of air intake downward at angle α = 30 to 60 deg. and oscillation period T =1.0 to 3.0 s ; they are located at distance c == 0.005 to 0.001 m from its leading edge. Length llow of panels and height B of midsection of air intake are made at relationship = 0.3 to 1.2. Width llow of panels and width L of midsection of air intake are made at the following relationship: = 0.3 to 0.5. EFFECT: reduced probability of sucking vortex core inside air intake together with foreign matter. 3 dwg
