FIELD: aviation; devices for protection of aircraft engines against foreign object ingestion.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device includes movable lower panel mounted in air intake body. This panel may perform translational motion in horizontal direction; this panel is made from U-shaped load-bearing framework and two small panels are located on front axle of framework and are articulated together at ratio =k1/k2=(0.8-1,0)bl.p.(0.7-1.0)bl.p.; these panels may perform simultaneous oscillatory downward motion through angle α=30-90 deg. at oscillation period T=1.0-4.0; length bl.p. of panels and height of midsection of air intake B are selected at the following ratio: =bl.p./B=0.3-1.2; width of panels ll.p. and width L of midsection of air intake are selected at the following ratio: =ll.p./L=0.7-0.9.
EFFECT: reduction of probability of suction of vortex core together with foreign matter; rational weight parameters of lower panel.
