PIPELINE JOINT Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: joints of pipelines supplying liquids and gases to working elements of machines and devices. SUBSTANCE: pipelines are joined by means of union nut that compresses fitting of one pipeline to pipe union of other one thereby compressing packing surfaces; shaped fitting of joint is built integral with additional fixed tread ring during its shaping. At junction section fitting is made in the form of cone turning into sphere acted upon by union nut at angle equal to that of conical junction section. Conical section is provided with internal seating surface corresponding to external seating surface of pipe union. Tight abutting of mating surfaces is ensured due to slight strains of pipe union over external cone and of conical section of fitting over internal surface due to its gap-free transfer to sphere at slight admissible misalignments.
