FIELD: measurement technology, geodetic instrumentation. SUBSTANCE: invention can find use for transmission of horizontal direction from ground surface into mine workings or to upper levels in process of construction of engineering structures. Device includes direction transmitter, direction receiver with common vertical rotation axis and matrix of light sources optically coupled and installed at different levels. TV camera of direction transmitter is fitted with lightsplitting cube-prism. CCD matrix and matrix of light sources are mounted on optically matched faces of cube-prism in focal planes of lens of TV camera. Direction receiver has reflection prism carrying autocollimation mirrors. Input face of prism is perpendicular to vertical rotation axis of device. Technical result of invention lies in simplified technology of manufacture of device, in enhanced precision and reliability of measurements which enable horizontal angle contained between direction receiver and direction transmitter to be measured without any re-focusing of TV camera with root-mean-square error within limits of 1.5 angular second.
