FIELD: plastic metal working, namely processes for cold die forging of parts such as screws. SUBSTANCE: method for making screws with inner hexahedron by cold die forging comprises steps of pressing out rod and shaping head; reducing rod for knurling thread; shaping hexahedron cavity in head; sizing head and knurling thread. Operations of rod pressing out, head forming and shaping hexahedron cavity in head are performed in the same lower die. Hexahedron cavity in head is formed during two successive strikes of cone and hexahedron punches. Reduction of rod for knurling thread and sizing head are performed in second lower die. EFFECT: increased strength of screws, simplified process for making them. 1 dwg
