FIELD: medicine, microbiology. SUBSTANCE: for toxin formation in anthracis microbe Hottinger's agar-base nutrient agar is prepared to which 1% soda solution and 10% equine serum are added. Filter paper band preliminary sterilized in autoclave at temperature 121 C for 20 min and impregnated with non-diluted anti-anthracis globulin is applied on surface of solidified agar. Plates are dried at temperature 37 C for 20 min. Cultured to be studied are inoculated in vegetative form by both sides of paper as plaque in distance for 1 cm from paper and for 2-2.5 cm each from other. After incubation capsule formation is recorded and transferred into cooling where kept at temperature 4-10 C for 48-72 h. For detection of toxin formation plated are visualized under natural illumination on the black ground using black paper sheet. Invention can be used for identification of anthracis pathogen by its ability to form toxin and capsule in laboratory analysis. EFFECT: simplified procedure, enhanced safety in detection of pathogenicity factors of anthracis microbe. Improved method of identification. 2 tbl, 1 dwg, 2 ex
