FIELD: oil producing industry. SUBSTANCE: method includes injection into injection well of prefringe of fresh water, fringes of isolating material in the form of sodium silicate with gelling agent, with increase of concentration of gelling agent in each next fringe. Composition of all fringes is selected for provision of simultaneous start of gelling of isolating material in formation. Injection of fringes is followed by an interval allowing for completion of process. Then oil is withdrawn through producing wells. Prefringe of fresh water contains gelling agent with concentration equaling that by gelling agent in the first fringe of isolating material. After injection of the last fringe of isolating material, intermediate fringe of fresh water is injected with concentration of gelling agent equal to that of gelling agent in the last fringe of isolating material. Isolating material is pushed by underlying water in preset volume with subsequent process holding with time equaling single-triple time duration of injection and moving of isolating material. Volumes of prefringes of fresh water, isolating material and intermediate fringe are taken in ratio of (1-2):(3-10): 1. Concentration of sodium silicate in each next fringe of isolating material is reduced. EFFECT: higher oil recovery of deposit due to increased coverage of formation area by flooding by injection into formation of isolating material through large distance from injection well and creation of large flow-deflecting barrier. 3 ex
