COMPRESSED-GAS DRIER AND ITS OPERATING PROCESS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2204767 C2

FIELD: systems for drying compressed-gas flow. SUBSTANCE: gas flow is passed through compressor, cooled down, mixed up with flow passed through additional compressor to raise its pressure to value higher than that of gas leaving main compressor; then it is supplied to moisture separator and after that, to user. Suction branch of additional compressor may be connected to outlet branch of moisture separator. Outlet branch of additional compressor may be connected through expander to outlet duct of main compressor upstream of moisture separator. Expander may be made in the form of vortex tube. Hot end of vortex tube may be connected to inlet branch of main compressor or to inlet connection of user. EFFECT: simplified design, enlarged amount of damp gas dried out without pressure loss. 9 cl, 6 dwg
