VORTEX REGENERATIVE DEHUMIDIFIER Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

Abstract RU 2182289 C1

FIELD: dehumidification of gases or air by cooling and separation of condensed moisture effected with the aid of cold regeneration in vortex tubes, applicable in dehumidified compressed air feeding lines in various pneumatic systems in branches of national economy of all kinds. SUBSTANCE: the dehumidifier has a heat exchanger with an inlet branch pipe of gas preliminarily cleaned of condensed fractions of moisture, oil and mechanical impurities, with heat exchanger sections and means of separation with a condensate collector, vortex tube with a nozzle inlet of compressed gas connected to the cold section of the heat exchanger, and with a cold flow outlet branch pipe connected to the heat exchanger sections. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of dehumidifier operation due to enhanced degree of freezing and dehumidification of gas at preservation of previous expenditures of its part picked off for vortex regeneration of cold, enhanced reliability of operation due to prevention of ice formation in the working members of the vortex tube. 6 cl, 1 dwg
