FIELD: mechanical engineering: air conditioning systems. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, air conditioning is carried out at two modes: air conditioning proper and air conditioning at increased separation of distillate at higher humidity of ambient air. Air is cooled down to temperature below dew point. Change over from first to second mode is effected by increasing air delivery not less than two times, and distillate is separated by changing direction of cooled air flow accompanied by decreasing its velocity. Device implementing said method contains air feed unit, evaporator-heat exchanger, separator, pan and distillate collector and control system. Device is furnished with temperature and ambient air humidity transmitters connected with control system. Separator is made in form of plate connected by one end on upper part of housing close to evaporator-heat exchanger and installed at angle to direction of air discharge of evaporator-heat exchanger with possibility of changing the angle. Pan is connected with distillate collector made in form of accumulating reservoir with distillate level detector connected to control system. Device can be furnished additionally with means for filtration and saturation of distillate to get water of required quality. EFFECT: possibility of creating required microclimate in automobile saloon and getting of water from ambient air in amounts sufficient for practical use. 7 cl, 3 dwg
