FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: method allows for autonomous producing of fresh water of potable quality from moisture of ambient atmospheric air which can be used for domestic needs and for requirements of national economy. According to method, created is flow of air containing water vapor. Air flow is artificially cooled for condensation of water vapor. Thus produced fresh water or condensate is delivered to water collecting vessel. Cooled air is delivered to condenser for ensuring normal functioning of cooling device. Created air flow is directed through filter of air intake in conditions of ambient medium with relative humidity from 70 to 100% and temperature from 15 to 50 C. Then, air flow is brought through electrostatic field. Obtained cooled air is delivered through connecting skirt to radiator of condenser. Amount of air passing through radiator in conditions of containing 20 g of moisture per 1 cu.m of air and average daily output of unit equal to 250 l of water is within 12-13 cu.m per day. Application of aforesaid method allows for producing fresh water when traditional water sources are not available. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
