ARTICULATED ENGINEERING RECONNAISSANCE VEHICLE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: military engineering means, in particular, self-propelled mounts for reconnaissance and clearing passages in mine fields. SUBSTANCE: the mount has three armored self-propelled sections. One sections (the central one) is positioned between two engine-transmission sections in the suspended condition by means of automatic coupling device. All the mentioned sections are made floating, each engine-transmission section is provided with a remote device wide-cut mine detector and track mine exploder. The front engine-transmission section has the main wide-cut mine detector control panel, and the rear section - a duplicating control panel. Control and engineer echo sounder operator's compartments with reconnaissance, observation and orientation instruments are made in the central section. EFFECT: enhanced survivability of the mount and its capacity in the combat conditions. 2 dwg
